How do I create a tournament?
With the 5-step wizard your tournament is ready in minutes:
- Basic data: Enter name, date, venue, age class
- Teams:Add teams or pick from the club database
- Tournament format:Choose group phase, knockout or combination
- Groups: Distribute teams to groups via drag & drop
- Schedule: Have it generated automatically, set start time
The schedule is automatically calculated with the optimal algorithm!
Which tournament modes are supported?
- Group stage: Round robin within the group
- Knockout: Direct elimination upon defeat
- Groups + KO:Group phase first, then knockout rounds for the best teams
- League:Round robin across a whole season
Can I manually adjust the schedule?
Yes! After automatic generation you can:
- Edit individual matches
- Change times
- Assign fields
- Swap or move matches
The system checks for conflicts (e.g. a team playing twice at the same time).
What is an event vs. a tournament?
In TurnierOS there is a hierarchy:
- Event:The big picture (e.g. "Summer Festival 2025")
- Tournament/Age class: A competition within the event (e.g. "U9", "U11")
This way you can manage multiple tournaments (different age classes) in one event.
What is the checklist?
TurnierOS guides you with a 3-phase checklist:
- Preparation (15 points): Create tournament, invite teams, create schedule...
- Execution (5 points): Brief helpers, capture results...
- Follow-up (5 points): Finalize results, create export...
Progress is shown as percentage – so you don't forget anything!
